Lose arm fatThanks for visiting my site about trying to lose arm fat. If you are looking for a way to lose arm fat, then you have certainly come to the right website.

In addition to trying to help people lose weight, the primary purpose of my blog is to help people target specific problem regions like trying to focus on how to lose arm fat; also commonly referred to as arm flab.

Being overweight is something that has troubled me for a long time and has been the main source of most of my insecurities. I almost feel like there’s hardly anything out there that I haven’t tried to lose arm fat. There’s no doubt that working out on the elliptical, running on the treadmill and going to the gym to do upper arm exercises does help. However, I needed something more to lose my body fat. I so happen to be the mother of two beautiful kids and my job takes up a lot of my time thus not leaving much room for me to go the gym as often as I want to work on getting rid of the fat in my upper arms.  What has worked best for me and continues to keep me looking great is doing simple arm workouts several times and week and very importantly, following a fat loss program. This program has been the key for me. I’m so glad that I stumbled into this program because it has significantly changed my life in ways I can not even begin to explain.

You are certainly not alone if you are a little unsure of where to start with trying to lose your body fat and particulary target the fat on your upper arms. Countless people around the world face struggles with their weight. As I’ve finally come to realise, taking control of your weight doesn’t have to be as daunting a task once you know what to do and start following some fundamental rules.

Lose Arm Fat

Drink Water: As simple as it may sound, drinking enough water is vital in order to reduce body fat and lose arm fat. You shouldn’t wait to drink water only when you are thirsty. Try and get in the habit of drinking water regularly. Your body can easily become dehydrated when it doesn’t have enough water and your digestive system will not work as efficiently, resulting in weight gain.  This explains why somthing as simple as drinking more water is vital for trying to lose arm fat and body fat all together.

Eat healthy: Eating the right kinds of food has to be part of you fat loss efforts. If you want to lose arm fat, you’ll have to stay away from deep fried foods and fast foods in general. Look more towards foods like chicken, fish, whole grains and lots of vegetables and fruits. It goes without saying that eating enough fruits and vegetables is very important for nutrition. We’ve known this since we were kids but yet for whatever reason, a lot us tend to overlook this.

Exercise: Whether we like it or not, if  you want to lose arm fat, you have to do some form of exercise. Unfortunately, there is no magic pill one can take to just lose fat overnight. I’ve actually discussed some exercises you can do to lose arm fat that you’ll find further down the page of my blog.

Follow a plan that works: This is probably the most vital point of all.  If you are really serious about losing body fat and specifically want to lose arm fat, you need to follow a plan that’s proven to work. In my quest to lose arm fat, I came across all kinds of fat loss programs and systems and pills and shakes and the list goes on. I mean, it got to the point that if I did come across something that really worked, I could have easily missed it due to the fact that I would’nt expect much out of it as a result of my previous failures and thus not take it seriously by giving it a legitimate chance. That’s in fact what happened to me. I almost missed out on following a plan that really worked and helped me lose arm fat. I couldn’t help but notice that I was starting to lose weight so I started to take the plan a lot more seriously.

As I’ve told multiple people who ask me how I did it, I always say that diet and exercise is good and all and certainly helps but sticking with a working plan on a fat loss program is essential as it gives you a guideline to follow in case you stray off track. 24 7 Fat Loss is what worked for me and what I use. Based on my success with how I’ve been able to lose arm fat and the success of my husband who was able to lose belly fat, I would comfortably recommend this program to anyone that is trying to lose arm fat or any other kind of body fat.

Lose arm fat – Forms of arm fat

Lose Arm Fat

While going on about trying to understand how to lose arm fat, I found myself doing a significant amount of research about it and ended up learning quite a bit in the process. Considering that this was quite a sore subject for me, I figured it would be in my best interest to learn and know all I possibly could to solve my problem.  Whether or not all that is necessary is a different story all together; bottom line is it made me feel better =)

There are millions of men and women around the world that suffer from the embarrassment of carrying around unsightly flabby arms. These annoying upper arms take on many different forms all depending on the individual in question. In any case, for the most part, they will usually fall into one of the following three forms:  flabby arms, saggy arms, and soft or squishy arms.

-Flabby arms: Most often than not, flabby arms carry a disproportionately high amount of body fat in them compared to the rest of your entire body. As you can see in the picture below, these are arms that are big, bulky and carry an excess amount of body fat.

-Saggy arms: These are the arms you’ll often here people refer to as bingo arms or bat wings. Saggy arms are characterized by an accumulation of excess skin on the upper arms that flap when you wave.  These arms are often attributed to age, genetics, and can even occur after a substantial amount of weight loss. A lot of people think that surgery is the only answer to lose arm fat with these kinds of arms. I used to think the same thing but I know better now. Here the saggy arm would be the top arm in the picture below.

- Soft and Squishy arms: These can be the most annoying because when everything else around your body seems to be taking shape the arms fat seems to stay. Even when you don’t have excess sagging skin, you aren’t overweight and you aren’t over fat, you can still have upper arms that are soft and mushy and lack any muscle tone. Arms that have this look are often the result of lack of muscle density or muscle loss in the upper arms. I bet you’re probably thinking since it’s just a matter of muscle, the solution to lose arm fat is just as simple as doing a few arm exercises.  Well, exercises will help but there’s a lot more to it.  You still have to watch what you eat.

If you don’t know what you are doing, whatever you try will never work at correcting any one of these problems and a lot of times, the problem is only likely to get worse. I suppose you might be familiar with this experience if you’ve already tried and failed. Your arms are only likely to get larger and become more bulky and the amount of sagging skin is very likely to increase as well especially if you happen to drastically lose too much weight too fast (this is actually dangerous).

A lot of people – women especially – who feel like there is no other option resort to expensive and risky plastic surgery opting for liposuction of the upper arms and what is called a brachioplasty or an arm lift surgery. Unfortunately, a lot of these people fail to realize the sad truth is unless you get to the root cause of your problem, it’s just going to come back after your surgery. Even worse, you’ll be left with a permanent zipper scar on the back of your entire arm making you feel even more self conscious. Not to mention, that isn’t even considering the thousands of dollars and weeks of excruciating pain you have to endure. But hey, if surgery is your thing, have at it, knock yourself out. As you’ve probably realized by now, it’s definitely not my thing.  Now if surgery isn’t something that you would ever even consider and you feel like you’ve already tried the supposed best way to lose arm fat; well then I’m telling you that I know exactly how you feel.  I was on that same boat at one time and felt like I’d never be able to get off of it. Thankfully there is a solution available. I found a way to lose arm fat and permanently keep it off.

Lose arm fat – Causes of upper arm fat

Lose Arm Fat

So while trying to lose arm fat, I also wanted to know what caused fat to accumulate around the arms. I read all kinds of mumbo jumbo and technical biological bla bla about how to lose arm fat. Anyway, there might be multiple causes but at the end of the day in simple English, so far as I’m concerned, it comes down to three basic things: being overweight, genetics, and failing to build muscle. At least that’s how I understand it.

Overweight: Simply put, when you’re overweight, arm fat is pretty much a given. And the bigger you grow, the more arm fat you accumulate. As we gain weight, excess fat finds places in our body where it can be stored. As such, fat will inevitably be stored around the upper arms since we have fat cells all over the body. For the most part, where body fat ends up distributing itself around the body will differ from person to person and will also depend a lot on their gender. In any case, for everyone, there are generally fewer fat cells around the extremities of the body. That explains why when you’re overweight, you tend to have more fat in your upper arms than your lower arms, or more thigh fat than the fat below your knee level.

Genetics: Oh boy! This is a rough one, because it means that if it runs down the family tree, to lose arm fat you’ve got to work harder than the average person whose cause of arm fat is something other than genetics. As the body starts to store fat in the typical main areas like the belly, chest, back and thighs, it will also store fat around the arms, neck and face to balance the shape of the body. Where your body decides to begin storing excess fat is highly due to genetics. So if your whole family seems to accumulate more fat around the arms, then chances are pretty high that you’ll end up carrying more body fat around your arms than you’d like to. In some genetic cases, you’ll find even pretty active teenagers who have started to develop it. What this means is, to lose arm fat you’ll just have to fight it harder once you start to notice it develop.

Lack of muscle tone: This cause manifests itself predominantly as we get older. As we age, we become less active, don’t participate in sports as much as we used to and spend more time sitting around. We don’t carry as much weight anymore. Pretty comfortable lifestyle huh? Well, not so much for our muscles; all the while they are getting slack resulting in a slab of flesh dangling there every time you raise your arm. Oh! And by the way, you absolutely don’t even have to be overweight for this to happen. Bottom line: try and stay active to lose arm fat.

So How Do You Lose Arm Fat?
Well, I would start with setting you a target goal of what arm size you want, and then work towards it. Quite simply, I’ll tell you that dieting and exercise are essential for trying to lose arm fat but it’s the way you do it that really matters. If you have arm fat, chances are you have fat in other parts of your body as well. lose arm fat As such, you have to work on reducing your overall body fat levels. As your body fat percentage goes down, it will also help you to lose arm fat. However, dieting on its own will only get you but so far. By the same token, exercise on its own will yet again take you but so far. You should look to do exercises to work the whole body in addition to focusing on exercises to lose arm fat and tone up the muscles in the upper arm. If you only pay attention to exercising, sure the exercises will help to give your arms a more toned look but that’s it. That’s all you’ll get; a more toned look but guess what? The fat will still be there. That’s why I can’t stress the importance a good weight loss program. It’s what I did, and it’s what ended my painful search to lose arm fat fast. Trying to lose arm fat can be a long struggle. There are programs that have been developed to guide you through this but the truth is I’ve tried quite a few and sadly enough, they just didn’t get me anywhere. I finally found my solution that worked for me and I would recommend it to anyone looking for ways to lose arm fat and burn body fat in general. I am forever grateful since it laid my search to rest – my search on how to lose arm fat.

Here’s the solution I would recommend that worked for me.

Exercises to lose arm fat

Lose Arm Fat

Trying to lose arm fat can be one of the most annoying and daunting tasks to tackle especially if you’re not doing the right things to get rid of it. Before we start discussing fat burning workouts to lose arm fat, I need to stress that in as much as these arm exercises help, it is extremely important to realize that eating the right foods at the right intervals is key. That could very well explain why you might not be seeing the results you want despite having done some work to lose arm fat.

If you have been struggling to get your arms toned, it could be because you have been doing the wrong exercises to lose arm fat. It’s not all about doing a ton of reps for all sorts of different exercises; it’s so much more effective to do the right upper arm exercises. Trying to lose arm fat can be very tricky particulary for women in the sense that while a lot of us want to lose arm fat, we need to strike that right balance of exercise so much so that our arms look more toned and slender as opposed to big, muscular and manly. In combination with the right weight loss program, I found that what worked well was doing these exercises about 3 to 4 times a week. You don’t want to do too much every single day working the same muscles because you need to give them time to recover.

I really like the exercises demonstrated in the following two videos. They show you how to tone up and best of all you can do them right from the comfort of your home. Both show you how to work on biceps and triceps. The first video shows you how to do dumbell curls for your biceps and dumbell kickbacks for your triceps working out the front and back of your upper arms respectively.

This second video shows you how to target these same muscle areas with alternative exercises. These come in particularly handy if you don’t have any dumbells and don’t want to go to the gym to use their dumbells. Of course you can always buy some if you choose to. In addition to helping you lose arm fat, the exercises in this video also have the added benefit of working your upper body and chest as well thus giving your breasts a more lifted look =)

This is the weight loss program I use in conjunction with these exercises,
